Quite simply, Pennington Financial Group would not exist without Paul’s early resolve to create a different kind of financial firm with a strong, client-centric culture when he founded Pennington in 1984, more than 30 years ago. His continued contributions – historic grounding as well as forward-thinking vision – have helped ensure that we continue to grow into the future from our original roots.
Paul has been a financial professional for even longer, beginning his career in banking before becoming a financial, estate planning and tax planning professional in 1974.
Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of San Francisco and has secondary and community college teaching credentials through California State University, Sacramento. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner, and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Northern California, serving on several board positions there.
Paul is involved in many community and civic activities. He is a member of the Navy League of the United States, the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, and the Carmichael Elks Lodge. He also served for six years on the Board of Governors with the University of San Francisco Alumni Association. Paul enjoys the more than occasional round of golf and spending time with friends and family.
