Having joined Pennington Financial Group in 2008, Dan is our chief “get it done” guy. Currently a senior wealth advisor at Pennington, Dan serves as wealth manager and financial coach to multiple generations of family members. He also oversees the research, analysis and preparation of the firm’s financial plan reports. Dan prepares tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and estates. Further, he participates in our investment committee.
A native of Sacramento, Dan has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specializations in retirement planning, investing, college saving, and income and estate tax planning. Before joining Pennington, Dan spent 3 years as an advisor and tax specialist at the Financial and Tax Planning Center in Roseville. Prior to that, Dan held positions with Wells Fargo Institutional Trust Company, Barclays Global Investors, and Investors Bank & Trust in various areas of financial operations and securities lending. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force with 3 years of service overseas in Europe and Asia.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from California State University, Sacramento. He is a Certified Financial Planner, a CTEC Registered Tax Preparer, a Notary Public, and a member of the Financial Planning Association of Northern California (serving 5 years on the Board of Directors). When he’s not crunching numbers, he enjoys spending time with his wife Stephanie and their two children.
